Collagen Induction

Dermal Rejuvenation with Intracel.

This device is the best treatment for dermal rejuvenation,
as well as the treatment of acne and acne scars.

Empower your skin to do what it does naturally!

Microneedling treatment uses ultrafine needles and radiofrequency (RF) energy to penetrate the top layer of the skin and trigger the body’s natural healing process to regenerate new collagen and elastin. Unlike some other skin revitalization treatments, these treatments can be performed on all skin types, anywhere on the body and anytime of the year.
The small mechanical injury initiates the wound healing process and stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts and production of collagen and elastin.

The INTRAcel uses only insulated needles, this provides fractional damage to the dermis while sparing the epidermis, the skin looks fine and the damage is contained in the dermis.  Most devices cannot deliver the amount of energy we are able to deliver, as the energy has to pass through the epidermis.

The small mechanical injury initiates the wound healing process and stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts and production of collagen and elastin.

In 2003 U Spa was one of the first to incorporate medical needling into her practice in NS,
and continues to be on the forefront of this technology.

Non ablative is gaining traction
There are 2 available options today for skin resurfacing

ABLATIVE

  • Removal of skin Layers
  • More aggressive  and deeper
  • Longer downtime
  • More potential for side effects
  • Usually 1 single session

While the ablative treatment is much more aggressive and will give results in one session.
The downtime is much more longer and affects the patient’s decision of undergoing the treatment

NON ABLATIVE

  • with the INTRAcel, No removal of skin layers
  • Less aggressive, but as deep or more
  • Shorter downtime - “lunch-time treatment”
  • Less potential for side effects
  • 1-3 session pack

Non-Ablative procedures are often called “lunch-time procedure” and it seems patients prefer undergoing a series of treatments instead of one, if they can continue their daily routine after each treatment.
INTRAcel uses THERMAL needles to deliver the energy where it needs to go for optimal results.
Comparable technologies deliver radio frequency (RF) to the epidermis. Having treatments will insulated needles makes the INTRAcel a safer and superior choice!

1-2 days post treatment is the usual. This is different depending on each person's comfort level. Most of our clients find that 1 day at home and the next into a little make-up is fine. Since this isn't a surgical procedure there is no real downtime.
  • There is a slight redness after treatment,  the edema resolving within a few days at most.
  •  These normal, transient, procedure-related symptoms often resolve much more rapidly, even within 24 to 48 hours. The combination of treatment variety,

The procedures were done with local numbing. I was able to drive home, and I did not take time off from my regular activities. There was slight redness for two to three days, but I was able to wear makeup the next day.
